How’s The Weather in Seven Devils, NC?

The North Carolina High Country in and around Boone, Banner Elk, Blowing Rock and Seven Devils offers spectacular weather.In the summer it rarely gets above 75 degrees Fahrenheit.At 4700 feet above sea level the average temperatures are even cooler and the mountain breezes are delicious!We have central air conditioning throughout and ceiling fans in the living room and bedrooms, but you won’t need them.If you are into cozy times around a fire, Deerwood Retreat boasts wood burning fireplaces both indoors and outdoors.Believe it or not, you will probably be able to use the fireplaces all year round.It gets that refreshingly chilly most nights, even in July and August.

As for winter, if you enjoy white Christmases, skiing, snow tubing and other winter sports, the mountains of North Carolina are for you.It is the southern-most place on the east coast for skiing, with three ski areas, all of which have extensive snow-making equipment.Even Hawksnest, right here in Seven Devils, makes snow for the snow-tubing hill.Bring your children in winter and watch them play in the snow while you enjoy the outdoor fireplace.
